The plain-English version

What is a retail cleaning access window?

A retail cleaning access window is the stretch of time a shop can actually be released for cleaning. It is set apart from trading hours, deliveries and stocking, and it is proposed by the shop rather than assumed from the sign on the door.

Request a clean

Closed is not the same as available

A shop that closes at six is not necessarily free at six. Staff may be cashing up, a delivery may be due, or the morning team may arrive early to fill shelves before opening. Each of those uses the same floor a cleaner would need. An access window names the time that is genuinely clear of them. That is why a useful request gives two separate answers: the customer-facing trading hours, and the proposed cleaning window. Writing only one leaves everyone guessing about the other.

The four windows in a shop week

Most shops run four kinds of time. Trading is when customers are in. Deliveries are when stock arrives or is collected. Stocking is when staff fill shelves or change displays. The proposed cleaning window is the fourth, and it works best when it overlaps none of the others.

The opening window planner, linked below, puts all four on one weekly grid. It flags any day where the proposed cleaning window runs into trading, deliveries or stocking, so the conflict is visible before a visit is planned. Nothing you type is sent anywhere unless you choose to copy a short summary into a request.

Windows before an opening

A shop getting ready to open has a moving week. Fixtures may still be going in, the first stock delivery may be booked, and a target opening date sits at the end of it. An access window for an opening clean has to fall after the trades who would leave fresh dust have finished and before stock fills the floor. Name the date you are aiming for, but treat it as a goal rather than a cleaning deadline. If the main issue is residue from finished work, see shop opening cleaning.

Who arranges access

An access window also needs someone to open the door. That might be a keyholder on staff, the owner or manager, or building or centre management. Name the role in the request. Keys, alarm codes and door codes never belong in a form; entry details are arranged separately once the access needs are understood.

How a window becomes a request

An access window is a proposal. It does not confirm a visit, a time slot or availability. When you have one, request a clean with your trading hours and the proposed window side by side. Bravo Maids reviews each request and confirms scope, access and availability with you before anything is booked. For the regular service, see retail cleaning in San Diego.

Questions people ask

Can the access window be overnight?

You can propose one. Evening, overnight and weekend availability is assessed rather than assumed, so give the window you would like and Bravo Maids will confirm what fits.

What if the window overlaps a delivery?

Say so in the request. An overlap is useful information; it lets the plan account for the delivery instead of discovering it on the day.

Can the shop be released in sections?

Describe the arrangement you have in mind, such as the back room first and the sales floor later. It is a proposal to be assessed, not an assumption that cleaning alongside customers is suitable.
